Pisa is easily accessible by car, train and plane thanks to the presence of the Galileo Galilei International Airport, connected with many European airports. For information on flights to and from Pisa please visit www.pisa-airport.com

Pisa historic centre is almost entirely enclosed by 12th-century fortifications. The city is laid out on a roughly square plan, with each side measuring around one and a half kilometres.
The river Arno divides the city into two parts which are known to locals as Tramontana, to
the north, and Mezzogiorno, to the south. Pisa Centrale station is a major railway junction located on the southern edge of the city centre. Approximately one and a half kilometres
to the south is "Galileo Galilei" International Airport, served by the Pisa Aeroporto railway terminal, is directly linked to the central station and the rest of the national network. The historic centre can easily be reached from the airport and the central station by bus (LAM Rossa) or by taxi. Frequent buses connect the centre to the various town districts

Everyone entering Italy must have a valid passport, or in the case of European Union Member States, a valid national identity card.

Visas are required for some countries. Delegates should check with their local representation. Please note that it can take up to 8 weeks to process a visa application and early application
is recommended. The conference organizers, or its agents, cannot accept any responsibility for visa applications. Where a delegate is unable to attend because of failure to obtain a visa on time, the normal cancellation policy for registration fee will apply.

If you need to apply for a visa, please register for the congress, pay your registration fee in
full and request a visa letter from ehesinfo@aicgroup.it Please note the Italian Embassy will only accept a visa letter if it states that the delegate has registered for the congress and has paid their registration fee in full. The delegate will also need to request a letter from their respective hotel confirming the address where they will be staying during the conference days.

The Italian Embassy will only accept original letters from us so please allow enough time for us to post the visa letter to you.
